Multiple award-winning gospel minister, Superintendent Kofi Sarpong, has described police officers as the most religious people.
Contrary to claims that police officers are corrupt and not upright, the officer told Sokoohemaa Kukua on the mid-morning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that they are religious and dedicated to God’s work.
He indicated police officers are godly and perfect examples of sacrifice for God’s work.
He has, therefore, admonished his colleague officers to set good examples and see their job as a calling from God.
He also urged Ghanaians to appreciate the sacrifice of police officers devoid of the isolated cases of some corrupt few.
He was asked about his view of long-held public perception about how corrupt the police administration was and the fact that some of them die mysteriously due to their attitude.
He disagreed and insisted there are religious people in the police who are doing their best for the nation.
Superintendent Kofi Sarpong, when asked if he had regrets joining the service, said no adding, he is overjoyed working in the force and that he enjoys being an officer than his own life.
